What is website change monitoring? The tab you never have to refresh

Website change monitoring is automation that visits a web page on a schedule, saves a snapshot, and compares it with the one before. When something you asked about changes, you get an alert with the old value and the new one side by side, so you can tell in a second whether it matters.

Website Change Tracker watches any public page, from a competitor's pricing to a regulator's guidance, checks it as often as every 5 minutes, and delivers the change to email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, a webhook, or Google Sheets. Every detected change is kept as a timestamped snapshot, which is how teams prove what a page said on a given date.

Point one monitor at your own site, and find out before your visitors do

  • The deploy that broke a page

A template change empties a section or drops a price. The page returns 200 and every uptime check passes, so nothing tells you.

  • The edit nobody announced

Anyone with CMS access can change a live page, and the page is usually the only record that it happened.

  • The change you did not make

A defaced or injected page meets your visitors before it meets you. A diff of what the public sees is the fastest way to hear about it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get an alert when a web page changes?
To monitor a web page, paste its URL, say what should trigger the alert in plain English, for example 'alert me when the price drops', and add your email address. From then on you get a page change alert the moment it happens, with the old value and the new one side by side.
How do I get notified when a website changes?
To monitor website changes, add the page, choose what counts as a change, and pick where the notification goes. We notify you on the next check after the page moves. Email works on every plan, and paid plans add Slack, Microsoft Teams, webhooks, and Google Sheets. The notification carries the old value and the new one, so you do not have to open the page to find out what happened.
How often is a page checked?
From every 5 minutes to once a day, depending on your plan. Free checks daily, Starter checks hourly, and Pro and Business check as often as every 5 minutes. Match the interval to how fast the thing you care about disappears: every 5 minutes for a restock or a flash sale, daily for a competitor's pricing page.
Can I monitor one part of a page instead of the whole thing?
Yes, and it is usually what you want. Pick a single element, such as the price, a headline, or one clause, and everything else on the page is ignored. That is what stops rotating banners, cookie notices, and view counters from firing alerts you learn to ignore.
Where do the alerts arrive?
Email on every plan. Slack and webhooks from Starter, Microsoft Teams and Google Sheets from Pro, and API access on Business, so a change lands wherever your team already works.
Is there a record of what a page said on a given date?
Every detected change is stored as a timestamped snapshot. Compliance and legal teams use it as an audit trail, so months later you can show exactly what a regulator, a vendor, or a competitor published and when.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan monitors 5 pages with daily checks, email alerts, and 7 days of snapshot history. It is free forever and needs no credit card. Paid plans start at $30 a month and include a 14-day trial.
