Visualping pricing: how checks work and what you will actually pay
Visualping prices its plans in checks, not pages. Every plan and price, the maths for 5 to 200 pages, and how it compares with flat plans from $5 a month.
The short answer
Visualping has a free plan, three Personal plans at $14, $35 and $70 a month, and four Business plans from $140 to $350 a month, with annual billing about 29% cheaper. Each plan is a monthly budget of checks, from 150 to 50,000, and a check is one visit to one page. So your price depends on pages multiplied by how often each is checked: 25 pages checked hourly uses about 18,000 checks a month, which needs the $140 Business 20K plan.
Visualping plans and prices
We make Website Change Tracker, which competes with Visualping, so read this as a competitor's account. Every Visualping figure below comes from Visualping's own pricing page, read on 7 October 2026 and linked in the sources, so you can check each one.
Visualping sells a free plan, three Personal plans and four Business plans, plus custom Solutions deals. Each paid plan is named after the number of checks it includes each month. Prices are in US dollars, and annual billing takes about 29% off each one.

Each plan has three limits that apply at the same time: a monthly check budget, a page count, and a fastest interval. The page count and the interval are the numbers people read first. The check budget is the one that decides what you can actually run, and it takes some arithmetic to see why.
How Visualping counts checks, and how to work out your plan
Visualping's definition is short: 'A check happens every time Visualping visits a page to check it for changes.' Its own example is that one page monitored daily 'would use up to 31 checks per month'.
So the number you need is pages, multiplied by checks per day, multiplied by days in the month. Working out which plan you need takes four steps:
- Count the pages you want to watch.
- Turn your check interval into checks per day: 1 for daily, 24 for hourly, 96 for every 15 minutes, 288 for every 5 minutes, 720 for every 2 minutes. If different pages run on different intervals, do this for each group and add the groups together.
- Multiply pages by checks per day by 31, the longest month, to get your checks a month.
- Find the smallest plan that covers all three: enough checks, enough pages, and the alert channel you want. Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Sheets only come with Business plans.
| Check interval | Checks per page per day | Checks per page in a 31-day month |
|---|---|---|
| Daily | 1 | 31 |
| Every hour | 24 | 744 |
| Every 15 minutes | 96 | 2,976 |
| Every 5 minutes | 288 | 8,928 |
| Every 2 minutes | 720 | 22,320 |
Visualping's pricing slider does a version of this sum for you. Its own example reads '18,000 checks a month at every hour across 25 pages', which is 25 × 24 × 30, and it lands on Business 20K at $140 a month. We use 31 days in the rest of this post so a long month never comes up short. The same 25 pages need 18,600 checks, which still fits.
The page count is not the number of pages you can watch
This is where the arithmetic matters. Every plan lists a page count, but at hourly checks the check budget runs out long before the page count does. One page checked hourly uses 744 checks in a 31-day month, so a plan can check as many pages hourly as its budget divided by 744, and no more.
| Plan | Price a month | Pages listed | Pages it can check hourly, all month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5 | 0 (150 checks is about 6 days of one page) |
| Personal 1K | $14 | 10 | 1 |
| Personal 5K | $35 | 20 | 6 |
| Personal 10K | $70 | 40 | 13 |
| Business 20K | $140 | 200 | 26 |
| Business 30K | $210 | 300 | 40 |
| Business 40K | $280 | 400 | 53 |
| Business 50K | $350 | 500 | 67 |
The fastest interval works the same way. Personal 10K lets you pick checks every 2 minutes, but one page at that interval uses 22,320 checks in a 31-day month, more than twice the plan's 10,000. On every plan from Free to Business 20K, the fastest interval uses more checks than the plan includes, even on a single page running around the clock.
None of this is hidden. Visualping publishes the check counts and the definition. But it does mean you cannot read your price off the plan names: you have to model your watch list first, and model it again whenever you add pages or speed up a check.
Our plans skip that step because they are priced by pages and interval directly. Starter is $30 a month for 50 pages checked hourly, and all 50 run hourly for the whole month.
What Visualping costs for real watch lists, next to ours
Here is the sum done for seven common watch lists. Each row shows the smallest Visualping plan that covers the list, and the plan that covers the same list on Website Change Tracker. Prices are monthly billing, then the per-month price on annual billing.
| Watch list | Checks a month | Visualping plan needed | Visualping price | Our plan | Our price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 pages, daily | 155 | Free (covers about once a day) | $0 | Basic | $5 / $4 |
| 10 pages, hourly | 7,440 | Personal 10K | $70 / $50 | Starter | $30 / $24 |
| 25 pages, hourly | 18,600 | Business 20K | $140 / $100 | Starter | $30 / $24 |
| 50 pages, hourly | 37,200 | Business 40K | $280 / $200 | Starter | $30 / $24 |
| 5 pages, hourly, alerts in Slack | 3,720 | Business 20K (Slack is Business only) | $140 / $100 | Starter | $30 / $24 |
| 50 pages, every 15 minutes | 148,800 | More than Business 50K covers: extra checks or a Solutions quote | Not published | Pro | $150 / $120 |
| 200 pages, daily | 6,200 | Business 20K | $140 / $100 | Pro | $150 / $120 |
The pattern holds across the table. When you check daily, the page count is the limit that binds, and Visualping is the cheaper option: free for 5 pages, and $10 a month less than our Pro for 200.
When you check hourly or faster, the check budget binds, and the price climbs with every page you add. Ten pages hourly costs more than twice our price. Twenty-five pages costs more than four times as much. Fifty pages checked hourly costs $2,400 a year on Visualping's annual Business 40K plan and $288 a year on our annual Starter plan.
Visualping costs that are easy to miss
Beyond the plan price, a few rules on Visualping's pricing page change what you end up paying:
- Slack, Microsoft Teams and Google Sheets are Business features. Business starts at $140 a month or $1,200 a year, so wanting alerts in Slack puts you on that tier whatever your page count.
- Unused checks do not roll over. The FAQ is direct: 'No, checks do not roll-over monthly.' A quiet month's budget is gone at the end of it.
- When the checks run out, monitoring stops. In Visualping's words, 'monitoring pauses until your monthly allowance resets or you move to a larger plan'. You can buy extra checks separately, but the page does not list a price for them.
- API calls come out of the same budget: 'API usage draws on the plan's normal check quota rather than a separate allowance.'
- Each Business workspace is billed on its own. A workspace 'carries its own plan and cost rather than being included in the price above'.
- Extra users on a workspace cost $60 a year each.
- Change history is kept for three months by default. Keeping a year of it needs a Business plan.
These are normal terms for usage-based pricing. They do mean the plan price is a starting point, and that a watch list sized wrong can stop being watched partway through a month.
How Website Change Tracker prices the same job
Our plans are priced by the two things you already know when you set up monitoring: how many pages, and how often. There is no check budget to work out, nothing that runs out mid-month, and nothing to roll over.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Pages | Checks | Alerts and extras |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $5 | $4/mo | 5 | Daily | Email, 7 days of history |
| Starter | $30 | $24/mo | 50 | Hourly | Email, Slack and webhook, track one element instead of the whole page, unlimited history |
| Pro | $150 | $120/mo | 250 | As often as every 5 minutes | Whole-site tracking from a sitemap, 5 team members |
| Business | $350 | $280/mo | 1,000 | As often as every 5 minutes | API access, 20 team members, exportable history |
Two differences matter most for the price. Slack alerts come with Starter at $30 a month, not with a $140 Business plan. And from Starter up, every saved version of a page is kept with no time limit, where Visualping keeps three months unless you are on Business.
We do not have a free plan or a trial: you can add a page without paying, and monitoring starts when you subscribe. To compare the two on a real page, run it on Visualping's free plan and on our $5 Basic plan for a week, and see which alert tells you what you needed to know.
When Visualping's pricing is the better deal
Visualping's pricing is generous in places, and for some watch lists it is the right buy:
- You want to pay nothing. The free plan covers 5 pages about once a day. We start at $5.
- You check a lot of pages daily rather than hourly. At daily checks the page count is the limit, and Business 20K covers 200 pages for $140 a month against $150 for our Pro.
- You need the API on a small budget. Visualping includes the REST API, webhooks and an MCP server on every plan, including Free. Our API starts on Business.
- The page needs a login, a click, or JavaScript to show its content. Visualping can log in, click or type before each check on every plan, and compares how the page looks. Our checker reads the page's text without running JavaScript, so content a page builds in the browser is invisible to it.
If none of those apply and you want frequent checks on more than a few pages, the arithmetic above is the case for switching. For the full feature comparison, read Visualping vs Website Change Tracker. For other options, see Visualping alternatives, which compares four tools with prices from each one's own page.
